With the way real estate is going in Niagara right now, if you are selling your home, you need an edge. Houses are selling the minute they hit the market for top dollar, and many out-of-town buyers are deciding to relocate to St. Catharines to get way more bang for their buck.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know what I think the answer is. If you haven’t, prepare to be amazing. I, of course, think Matterport is the gamechanger you need to grab attention and have even more people look at your home when you decide to list it. And now, Matterport is even better!

Introducing Multimedia Mattertag Posts

Matterport has been changing the way people experience real estate. Instead of relying on photos and video tours, we can now “walk through” a house, seeing it in 3D, as if you are actually in the space. Not too long ago, they added a virtual reality feature to their software, making the experience feel even more authentic, without leaving the comfort of your living room.

And now, Matterport has release Multimedia Mattertag Posts, which  means we can include even more content in the Matterport model of your home — images, audio, video, Google Maps, other Matterport models the list goes on! If you think a buyer might be interested, we can put it in there! It’s basically every dreamed-of use for augmented or virtual reality to life.

Using Multimedia Mattertag Posts to Sell your Home

So, now you’re probably thinking, “Ok Karl, so why does this really matter when I’m selling my home?” This gives us the chance to showcase even more about your home, giving potential homebuyers even more ways to have an emotional response to your listing.

Here are some examples of what I’m thinking:

  • Link to product reviews of appliances and home features to show buyers exactly what they’re getting.
  • Embed Google Street View at your front door, so they aren’t only able to tour your house, but your neighbourhood as well
  • You know I love video, let’s embed a drone video so they can fly around and get a bird’s-eye view of your home and  your neighbourhood.
  • We can showcase an in-law suite separately with a second Matterport model embedded into the first.
