My favourite time of the year is coming this weekend… it’s the third annual St. Catharines Wing Fest! Head to Lakeside Park in Port Dalhousie Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12 for some hot wings, cool beverages and good times.

As an active local and lover of the Niagara Region, I believe it’s important to be involved with projects that serve this great community. So, as a founding board member of Wing Fest, I am thrilled to be part of a project that supports Community Care, a local not-for-profit helping to meet the needs of the less advantaged in our community.

This year, I am proud to be on the board once again. We aim to give our city the best experience and show visitors to the Niagara Region what we have to offer. I am also surrounded by a team of driven individuals and local heroes who are working hard to make this year’s Wing Fest even better than last. A challenge we have all happily accepted.

The Tried, Tested, and True

Like last year, we’ll host a number of local wing establishments, all vying to take home our championship belt as People’s Choice for the best wings in St. Catharines. There’s live music, wine and beer, a chicken wing eating contest and kids zone — fun for everyone! Check out the website for more details.

What’s New This Year?

We’ve added some more friendly competition to the mix because the St. Catharines community loves a good competition. This year, Wing Fest will not only be looking for the best wings in St. Catharines, but also the best Ping Pong Player. Don’t worry, you won’t have me as competition so you’ll have a chance at the title!

If you’re in the area that weekend or coming from out of town, make sure to stop in and try the tasty classic wings our festival prides itself on. Last year Kully’s took home the championship belt, but will they win again this year or is there a new Wing King or Queen in town? As a chicken wing lover myself, I’ll take any recommendations you’ve got!
